Funding to support Bravo's growth in credit solutions and strengthen financial health services
BBVA Spark has taken a substantial step forward in supporting the fintech sector by entering a €25 million financing agreement with Bravo, a financial technology company specializing in debt management and financial advisory services. This collaboration aims to support Bravo’s expansion, particularly its credit division, to help address the challenges of over-indebtedness and offer enhanced financial support to individuals.
According to Roberto Albaladejo, head of BBVA Spark, the partnership with Bravo reflects BBVA Spark’s mission to leverage innovation and technology for positive social impact, providing tools that empower people to improve their financial well-being. "This milestone enables us to support a company like Bravo that uses technology to help people navigate challenging financial situations, helping them start fresh with a better financial outlook," Albaladejo stated.
Sandra Sabaté, Bravo’s Country Manager for Spain, emphasized that this financing would provide a vital boost to Bravo’s credit division. Sabaté remarked, "We are delighted to have the backing of BBVA Spark. At Bravo, we believe that credit, when used responsibly, is a powerful tool to restore personal finances. Our mission is to support those who want to pay off their debts but need additional resources to achieve that goal."

BBVA and Banco Sabadell’s Role in Promoting Catalonia as a Hub for Innovation
In related news, BBVA’s president Carlos Torres Vila emphasized the bank’s dedication to strengthening Catalonia as a center for entrepreneurship and innovation. During the recent BBVA Spark Summit in Barcelona, attended by over 400 tech companies and investors, Torres Vila highlighted that BBVA’s union with Banco Sabadell aims to leverage the strengths of both entities to establish a robust financial institution that can provide critical support to businesses across various industries. He also noted that Catalonia, especially Barcelona, has tremendous potential as a hub for attracting investment, talent, and innovative companies, further supporting the regional economy.
The Road Ahead
As Bravo and BBVA Spark move forward with their shared goal of financial empowerment, both companies see significant potential in expanding their services and impact. With BBVA Spark’s support, Bravo is set to strengthen its debt management offerings and reach more individuals seeking to regain control of their finances. The partnership reflects a broader trend within the financial sector, where institutions are increasingly focusing on technological solutions that directly address the financial challenges of everyday people.
This financing agreement serves as a powerful example of how financial technology can help create a future where financial stability is accessible to a broader population. For BBVA Spark and Bravo, this marks the beginning of a journey to transform how debt management and financial advisory services are delivered, with the ultimate aim of supporting individuals and communities on the path to better financial health.
